The start of our next adventure... ordering the volvo

I am a bit behind in updating the blog. Next weekend we leave for Gothenburg Sweden to pick up my new Volvo S60.

The Volvo overseas delivery program is almost too good to be true. You get to order your new volvo exactly the way you want, you get 6% off MSRP, shipment of your car back to the states, one night hotel accommodations plus you get 2 round trip plane tickets to Gothenburg Sweden. I have to admit, when I first heard about all that was included I thought it was just too good to true, but I am here to tell you it is TRUE!

Last summer I went to the volvo dealership look at the new cars and find out more about the overseas delivery program. I took the S60 for a test drive and instantly fell in love. The salesman went over all the options that I could get and wrote up a quick order with price quote for me.  Then he shared all the details about the overseas delivery program. I was a little surprised that it took so long to get your car.

Important things to note about the program
1. You must pay a non refundable $2000 deposit at the time you order
2. You must order your car 120 days before you want to travel
3. It will take 8-12 weeks for the car to be shipped back to the states.

We decided to order our new car in December so that we could get the 2014 pricing. The ordering process of ordering the car was so quick and easy.
We worked with Mark Wanaka at HERZOG-MEIER Volvo in Beaverton Oregon. Mark was great, since I already knew the specs for my car the whole ordering process took less then an hour. (If you are thinking of doing the overseas delivery program I highly recommend Mark. You can contact him at mark.wanaka@herzogmeier.com)

Waiting to sign the papers to officially order my car.

And now we wait... 133 days.. or 19 weeks until we leave!
