The Vatican, Sistine chapel and St. Peter's Basilica

I pre-booked our Vadician museum tickets a few month ago, which was a good idea because the line to get in was 2.5 hours. I booked us for a 10 o'clock start time thinking that was late enough, but with the time difference getting breakfast and out the door by 9:30 was a bit challenging.

We took a ton of pictures, but unfortunately our camera died and it won't let us upload the pictures.

It was definitely a very popular place, some rooms had wall to wall people.  There was so many artifacts, paintings, tapestries and details everywhere. But John and I agree seeing the Sistine Chapel was the highlight. The ceiling was so magical and beautiful. It is crazy to think that Michelangelo painted that ceiling over 500 years ago.

After we finished there we decided to take the tourist hop on hop off bus. It gave us a lay of the land and we were able to see the trevi fountain and the spainish stairs ( which was still under renovation)
Us at the trevi fountain.
By this time we were pretty tired, but decided to hop back on the bus and see the rest of the must see sites. We decided to save the coliseum for Wedesday. But got some great pictures form the bus.
